If you use Bonanzle to sell online, you can create widgets to showcase particular products on your web site which look like the following:
Creating a Bonanzle Widget
- Log into Bonanzle
- Select "My Bonanzle"
- It is located along the top right menu.
- Select "Manage Widgets"
- It is located on the left menu in the "Selling Activity" box under the "Make More Sales" header.
- This will load your current list of widgets.
- Select "Create a new widget"
- It is located at the bottom of the page.
- This will load a page showing two options for creating widgets.
- Enter a title for your widget
- Select "Create Widget"
- This will load a page confirming that your widget was created.
- Select "Visit your booth" to add items to it.
- Note that you can add items from anyones booth.
- In your booth, select an item you want to add.
- This will load the item details page.
- Select your widget in the "Add to widget" box.
- This box is located under the item description in the "Actions" section.
- You may need to select the arrow under actions to view the box.
- When you do so, the box will be replaced with "Item added to widget"
- Continue adding items until you have the number you want.
- I recommend adding products in groups of 4 for best viewing.
Getting the code for your Bonanzle Widget
Once you have created your widget and placed items in it, you will need to get the code to display it.
- Select "My Bonanzle"
- Select "Manage Widgets"
- This will display your current widgets.
- Select the widget you want to place on your site.
- This will show your widget and give the code for it.
- Select "Edit widget appearance"
- This will let you customize your widget.
- Set the options you want for your widget
- You can change the title.
- You can choose where on bonanzle it links to.
- Set this to your booth or a booth category.
- Enter "/booths/YourBoothName" to set it to your booth.
- You can choose how many items to show per row.
- You can choose how large the images should be.
- You can choose a default style.
- You can choose custom colors for the background color, border color, and link color.
- When satisfied, select "Save all changes"
- This will return you to viewing your widget.
- Copy the code displayed
- Click in the box under "Paste the following…"
- Select "Edit" → "Select All" from the file menu.
- Select "Edit" → "Copy" from the file menu.
You are now ready to add your widget to your web site.
Adding your Bonanzle Widget to your web site
To add your widget to a page or post on your site, edit the page or post in question and paste the code for the widget into it ( "Edit" → "Paste" in the file menu )
You can also choose to add widgets to sidebars by creating a text widget and pasting the widget code into it.
