Place the type of content you want
Instead of making assumptions about the types of content you want to be displayed to people, the PWS Ad Manager simply provides four generic content types that you can use to place anything you want.
For example, you can use the Ad Manager to display:
- Simple text quotes
- Images of any size
- Videos of any kind that rely only on javascript and/or html to be displayed
- Javascript Widgets ( and other client side scripting widgets )
- AdSense blocks
- And pretty much anything else that does not require server side code such as php for display purposes.
For each WordPress Posts and Page, you can associate four different pieces of content via the Ad Manager.
Flexible Content Display
When placing content via the PWS Ad Manager plugin, you can choose to display content in a number of ways:
- Place individual items, by themselves.
- Place a group of items in a row.
- Place a group of items in a column.
- Use the row or column placements to display blocks of content such as 125px by 125px ad blocks.
Display ads for external sites as well as internal sites
Rather than being designed to work with a specific ad service, the PWS Ad Manager is designed to allow you to place content that is associated with your wordpress posts or pages, display content that points to somewhere else on the web ( such as affiliate ads ), or mix the two together in the same ad block.
Relate content to Posts and Pages
Currently, you can associate up to four pieces of content to each post or page on your site via the PWS Ad Manager sub panel that is added to your post and page editors.
You can also choose to have the content wrapped in a link to the associated post or page, which can be very handy when you are selling items on your site and want to advertise them on different pages.
Finally, you can choose to do any of the following when displaying content blocks on a page or post:
- Never place ads for the current post or page.
- Place only ads for the current post or page.
- Place any ads, whether for the current post/page or not.
Choose the number and sort method for content
When displaying a block of content or advertisements, you can choose to limit what is shown by page/post ids, categories, tags, authors, and type ( post, custom, or both ).
You can also choose how many items to display and what order to sort them in ( randomly, by date, by title, by menu order, by comment count ).
Create and manage content not associated with a post or page
While being able to show content that is associated with your posts and pages is always nice, it is also handy to be able to display content that has no association with a wordpress post or page.
Because of this, the PWS Ad Manager has a built in custom content management system to let you place ads or content blocks that are not directly related to posts and pages.
For example, if you sell various gardening supplies, but do not sell certain other types of related items ( perhaps clothing or books ), you could set up an affiliate account with someone who’s items complement yours and create ads for the items you want…and have them placed based upon tags, categories, or something else altogether.
Works With Most WordPress Themes
The PWS Ad Manager plugin should work with all themes that use a proper header call as it is written in a class structure so as not to conflict with other plugins or themes.
Placement of content for most themes works ( without template editing ) in your wordpress posts, your wordpress pages, and your sidebars ( via the included widget ).
Of course, if you are running The Privateer Theme there is built in shortcode support for this plugin…which allows you to place content blocks just about anywhere on your site.
The PWS Ad Manager Plugin comes with my own guarantee that if you are not satisfied with the theme within 30 days, I will refund your money with no questions asked.
