The Logo Bar is a header area bar within The Privateer Theme that can be used to display a logo, site title, site byline, rss feed links, and a search bar.

To get it setup and configured:
- Go to the "Privateer" » "General Display" » "Header Setup" admin menu for non RSS related setup.
- Go to the "Privateer" » "General Display" » "RSS" admin menu for RSS related setup.
- Go to the "Privateer" » "Global Options" » "Feedburner" admin menu to hook in a feedburner account if you have one and want to use the rss by email feature from it.

Styling the Bar
The logo bar itself can be styled via the Logo Area: Styling option.
Enter normal css styles into it just as if you were editing a css file or style section in the header of the page.
Avoid using margin and padding here as the logo bar is a table.
Other than that, you can setup borders, background colors or images, etc.
Setting up the Logo
If you want a logo displayed to the left of your Blog Title and/or Tagline, set the Show Logo Image option to Yes.
You can style the image itself via the Logo Image Styling setting.
Use Logo Image styling to move the logo around with margins, give the image a border with padding and background color attributes, etc.
Setting up the Blog Title
If you want the blog title to be displayed, set Show Blog Title to Yes.
You can then set the look and feel of it via the following options:
- Blog Title Styling
- Use this for general styles other than font weight, color, and hover color.
- For example, if you wanted a line under it, you could set a bottom border for it.
- Use margin to position the title as needed.
- Blog Title Font Weight
- Use this option to specify whether you want the title to be bold or not.
- Blog Title Color
- Use this option to set the color for the blog title.
- This uses RRGGBB notation ( without the # or ; ). You can click in the entry box to bring up a color picker.
- Blog Title Color: Hover
- This sets the color of the blog title when someone hovers over it with their mouse.
- If you don’t want a visible color change, set this to the same value as Blog Title Color.
Setting up the Blog Tagline
The Blog Tagline is read from what you have entered in the "Settings" » "General" » "Tagline" setting within the WordPress admin menus.
If you want it displayed, set the Show Blog Tagline option to Yes.
Use the Blog Tagline Style option to style it.
Setting up the Search Box
You can set a search box to be displayed in the left hand portion of the Logo Area Bar, which will let users search the content on your site.
To display the search box, set the Show Search Box option to Yes.
You can style the search box ( to give it borders, a background image or color, etc. ) with the Search Box Style option.
You can also set default text to place in the search box via the Text in header search box option.
Setting up the Posts RSS Links
If you want an RSS link to be displayed in the Logo Area, use the "Privateer" » "General Display" » "RSS" menu.
When setting up RSS Links, be sure to set the RSS Box Width option to be as small as possible in order to give your title and tagline as much room as you can.
The following options pertain to setting up RSS Links in the Logo Area:
- Show Post Feed Icon?
- Set this to yes in order to display the rss logo.
- You can change the look of the logo be editing or replacing post-feed-small.gif in your /privateer/images directory or by editing the posts-icon css class in the file core_css.php, which is located in the /themes/privateer directory.
- Post Feed Link Text
- This option is used to set text next to the icon as well as to determine the text to be used in the Page Bar and Category Bar if you elect to include RSS Post links within them.
- Post Feed Link Title
- This option sets the text displayed in most browsers when someone hovers over the rss posts logo or text.

Setting up the Comments RSS Links
If you want a comments RSS link to be displayed in the Logo Area, use the "Privateer" » "General Display" » "RSS" menu.
When setting up RSS Links, be sure to set the RSS Box Width option to be as small as possible in order to give your title and tagline as much room as you can.
The following options pertain to setting up comment RSS Links in the Logo Area:
- Show Comment Feed Icon?
- Set this to yes in order to display the comments rss logo.
- You can change the look of the logo be editing or replacing comment-feed-small.gif in your /privateer/images directory or by editing the comments-icon css class in the file core_css.php, which is located in the /themes/privateer directory.
- Comment Feed Link Text
- This option is used to set text next to the comments feed icon as well as to determine the text to be used in the Page Bar and Category Bar if you elect to include RSS Comment links within them.
- Comment Feed Link Title
- This option sets the text displayed in most browsers when someone hovers over the rss comments logo or text.
- Show Feedburner Email icon?
- Set this to Yes to display the rss by email icon.
- To change the icon, either replace the email-feed-small.gif file located in /themes/privateer/images on your server or edit the email-icon css class located within the core_css.php file in your /themes/privateer directory.
- Feedburner Email Link Text
- If you want text displayed next to the icon, enter it into this option.
- Feedburner Email Link Title
- If you want text shown when someone hovers over the rss by email image or text, set that text here.
Setting up the Email Feedburner RSS Links
If you have a feedburner account and set it up via the "Privateer" » "Global Options" » "Feedburner" admin menu, you can choose to display an RSS by Email logo and/or text in the Logo Bar.
